Wine Rack Store vs. Water Heaters

November 19th, 2008 by Sidney
Respond

This weekend we had a pleasant surprise:  Our brand new water heater died!  YEAH!!  Of course I am exaggerating my excitement because this is in no way a good thing.  Our house is less than 3 months old so we couldn’t believe on Saturday morning when we went to take a shower that we had no hot water.  Our first instinct was to check things out in the water heater area which we did.  We noticed that it was blowing the breaker for some reason so we opened her up.  Upon opening, we realized that it was leaking water all over the place and that the leak had shorted out the element.  When we saw this, we instantly knew that we had to call the manufacturer.  Of course, they weren’t open on the weekend and there was no option to leave a message.  When we called this morning, we were informed that they are on the east coast and that they would have to find someone on the west coast to come and look at it for us.  When the ‘west coast guy’ finally called, he told us he’d be to our house at around noon.  When he arrived he told us that it was broken (obviously) and that the part that was broken was not covered under our warranty.  Just my luck…  In order to ease the sorrows of my checkbook, I grabbed a bottle of wine from my Wine Coffee Table and drank it… all…  Thankfully the Wine Rack Store was there to help me out once again!

Bring a Wine Bottle Gift Box to Your Next Holiday Party

November 18th, 2008 by TC
Respond

I’m sure many of you have been invited to numerous parties to celebrate this beautiful holiday season. I’ll provide a few tips in order to make your hosts insanely happy to see you. Take it or leave it, but it’ll probably be the most important thing you’ll ever hear while on earth. I’m not exaggerating at all. First, you need to bring along a delectable bottling inside an elegant gift box. This will show them that you aren’t just going to inhale the h’orderves and thanklessly glide out the door once the tray is empty.  If you have unlimited funds, which I hope you do, it would be most righteous to bring a pristine stainless bottle opener along with some festive wine charms.  You’ll be the life of the party, best friends with the host, and will have extra brownie points with Santa.  What could possibly make your life better?  I know! Coming home to George Clooney kneeling beside a 120 Bottle Mega Cube full of Dom Perignon and a sparkling engagement ring. Well, ok, that’s my fantasy. I’ll leave you to yours, but I will leave you with a picture of my future second husband. Cheers!

Christmas Shopping at the Wine Rack Store

November 17th, 2008 by TC
Respond

I’m going to start the holiday shopping early as I fear my family and friends are tired of getting their gifts two weeks late. Ordering presents from the Wine Rack Store is especially convenient as I don’t have to do much work other than punch buttons on my computer. Hopefully my mother-in-law isn’t reading this, because I’m going to tell you what she’s getting. Since she is one of the most orderly people I know, I think the nifty wine tags are perfect. Rather than simply label the wine, I wonder if she might like organizing them according to her recipes that call for wine.  Along with the labels, I will be sending her an awesome Space Saver Wine Rack. She deserves the very best! As for my mom, any of the Big Bottle Racks are appropriate for her since she’ll never be able to keep them fully stocked.  That is, she drinks the wine faster than she can replace it! So, it looks like I’ll have to do more planning since it’s becoming difficult to keep the credit card in the wallet.  There are just so many fantastic choices, and I have to remember that I’m not shopping for myself…yet.

Muscle Men and Wine Racks

November 16th, 2008 by TC
Respond

What do muscle men have to do with Wine Rack Store wine racks? I’m not sure, but that is what I’m thinking about now, that I have lots and lots of muscles to memorize by Monday.  Nevermind the fact that I still can’t figure out all the possible positions of the arms and where the heck that palmaris longus is, or whether the extensor carpi ulnaris is actually the flexor carpi ulnaris. Pretty soon it’ll just sound like jibberish once I down a few glasses of Riesling dangling with Music Wine Charms.  Hey, I need a small break now and then. I’m no robot you know! It seems the hip hop music on Dexter “The Blade” Jackson’s cool website might actually be encouraging my neurons to fire rapidly while studying his insanely chiseled physique.  How on earth does that man sculpt muscles like that? I suspect he lives on tuna fish and pumps iron 3000 times per day. If I had as many custom wine racks per line of definition in his abdominal region alone I’d be one happy camper. Cheers to a flipping awesome test grade on Monday! Can’t wait till I can just celebrate having a life since I don’t have one right now!

Wine Rack Store Minds Keep on Flowing!

November 14th, 2008 by Sidney
Respond

Even though it’s Friday, which should be a celebrated weekly holiday or something, the minds here at the Wine Rack Store keep on pumping out new ideas.  Just this morning I had a great idea to market our wonderful racks in a new way.  If they can be used to store wine (a big OBVIOUS there), why can’t they be used to store syrups at coffee shops?  Being a former barista, I can tell you first hand what a pain in the rump it is to try and find the flavor your looking for when they are all crammed on the same shelf and you’re in a hurry.  Your only saving grace is that the syrups are colored so you can better guess which ones to grab for.   I think one of our smaller space saver racks would be perfect to store these sugary concoctions.  Not only would they be functional in a small coffe stand space but they would look great and keep the place organized to optimize production.  The less time you spend looking for the vanilla syrup, the more time you can spend making the perfect blend for my double, half decaf egg nog latte!

Relief From Academic Drudgery With a Glass of Sangiovese

November 13th, 2008 by TC
Respond

I’ve decided to treat myself to a mouth watering Spanish-style fiesta with some delicious seafood paella and a glass (ok, a BOTTLE) of Sangiovese. Without a break from writing this depressing paper on a very taboo (therefore unmentionable) practice, I might end up foaming at the mouth. After finishing my ambrosial meal, I’ll down my wine charmed glass and settle down for a siesta. Perhaps something alarmingly brilliant will come to me in a dream, which will make this final sociology paper a veritable masterpiece. If only I had as much faith in my writing as I do in durable Wine Rack Store products. You know what I do have ultimate faith in? That I will probably spend the next half of my paycheck on wine just so I can hasten away the anxiety that is eating my bones to smithereens. Time for a large order from the nearest winery. This means I can finally convince the husband that we need to start a collection of metal wine racks.

A Toast to the Wine Rack Store

November 12th, 2008 by Sidney
Respond

I’m not exactly sure what we’re toasting but what the heck right?  There are always tons of reasons to toast, even if it’s for no other reason than to be drinking!  We could propose a toast to the great prices on our wine racks or possibly to the superior quality of our racks.  Not to toot our own horn, but you can’t really find any better product for the price.  For that matter, you can’t find any better product for more than what your being charged!  Take the wine tasting table for instance, for a minimal cost you can have a beautiful and functional statement piece in your home.  There are also tons of perfect present toppers and stocking stuffers like wine charms or bottle openers on our website.  In all actuality you really can’t go wrong with making a quick stop by WineRackStore.com!  So, raise your glass to, well, us and help us toot our horn! :)

This Kitty Deserves a Wine Rack Store Celebration

November 12th, 2008 by TC
Respond

In honor of the once lost but now found black kitty of California, I hereby announce an imaginary Wine Rack Store party for everyone. It’s conceptual since there isn’t time at this particular moment; I’m still trying to prevent my overworked brain from exploding. One way I try to sooth my dreary neurons is by grabbing a chilled bottle of wine off a graceful metal wine rack and decorating my glass with a precious Here Kitty charm. Reading the heartwarming story of the black cat that was finally found after being lost for thirteen years really makes me feel at ease. Although it has nothing to do with my malfunctioning brain, but it certainly helps me remain optimistic that I’ll manage to pull through. If a cat can be found after such a long time, my nerve cells must surely have the strength not to let me down now. We will see, my next big exam on the muscular system is today. If only it involved me walking in, flexing my big biceps brachii and saying “How do you like me now?!”black cat

Wine Rack Store Bids Farewell to Stuffing!

November 11th, 2008 by Sidney
Respond

While researching for dinner ideas for the 3 upcoming Thanksgivings that I mentioned in earlier blogs (while I was supposed to be hard at work at the Wine Rack Store), I came across a wonderful idea for a ‘turkey dinner’.  They can now stuff your bird with, well, other birds.  At our local meat shop, Stuart’s, you can get a turkey stuffed with a duck also know as Turducken.  So much for traditional bread stuffing right?  This must be putting a hurt in major companies like Stouffer’s and the many others that produce stuffing!  I know that I would definitely prefer some nice slow cooked duck as opposed to some Stouffer’s out of a box.  I personally have never been a fan of the mushy, wet, bread-like stuff.  I think that I may just try to convince one of my many Thanksgiving dinner preparers to cook up the delictable sounding little treat.  In rewards for their willingness to step outside the box, I would be more than happy to provide the Thanksgiving wine charms for our glasses.  I would also be more than happy to propose a toast of sparkling cider pulled from our wine coffee table to the farewell of ‘old fashioned’ bread stuffing!  Good riddence!

Wine Rack Store In A Ketchup Defecit

November 11th, 2008 by Sidney
Respond

Okay, so that may not be entirely true but ketchup is my given word of the day therefore I must write about it and, in reality, what can one possibly say about ketchup that hasn’t already been said?  One great thing about ketchup is that it goes with pretty much any  and all foods.  I remember as a kid dipping absolutely everything on my plate into a giant blob of ketchup.  Luckily for me and my dining guests, I grew out of that nasty little habit as I got older.  Another great thing about ketchup is the price.  No matter how much the economy dives bombs, you can always afford some good ole quality ketchup.  Kind of like the great wine racks from the Wine Rack Store.  The prices are so inexpensive compared to our competitors that you can’t possibly afford to shop anywhere else.  We also have more than just wine racks so you can find tons of great present ideas for the holidays which are coming up faster than you might have noticed!
